Nacogdoches Naturally-Camp Stove Cooking/Fire Saftey  (SFA Gardens)
2010-01-07 10:20:35

On January 9, families are invited to Stephen F. Austin State University’s Pineywoods Native Plant Center to cook a delicious camp stove breakfast, learn about fire safety, and contribute to our bottomland hardwood wetlands restoration project by planting trees along the trails. John Boyette from the Texas Forest Service will be on hand to talk about fire safety and demonstrate a variety of camping cook stove options. Families and staff will work together to create a hearty outdoor breakfast before heading out to plant trees in the bottomlands of the Native Plant Center. The program will be held at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center at 2900 Raguet St from 9 a.m. until noon.
