Join us this Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Nacogdoches Farmer’s Market to stock up on a variety of handcrafted, locally grown items. The Nacogdoches Farmer’s Market is scheduled to be open from 4 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday afternoon through the busy growing season.
Lisa Crawford, Louis Duffield, James Lynch, George Partin, Cindy Pruett and Tracy Saenz will all be selling produce: blackberries, cantaloupe, sweet corn, cucumbers (striped derby & suyo long), Swiss chard, eggplants, herbs (basil, dill, mint, oregano, parsley, rosemary & thyme), okra, onions, peaches, shelled and unshelled peas (cream & purple hull), peppers (Anaheim, banana, Bell, cayenne & jalapeno), red potatoes, squash (butternut, cousa magda, flying saucer, Italian heirloom, sunburst, tonda nizzi, 2 types of yellow & zucchini), tomatoes (cherry, green, Roma and several varieties of red slicer) and watermelons.
Merci’s will be serving some delicious fare for dinner including tortas, boudain, and red beans and rice!

The Nacogdoches Farmers’ Market, located at the “hitch lot” at the corner of West Main and Pearl Streets, is open from 8 a.m. until noon or later every Saturday morning. The market is currently open twice a week, Saturday mornings and from 4 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday. If the market parking lot is full, additional parking is available in the Nacogdoches County Courthouse Annex parking lot.
