The 29th Annual Texas State Hispanic Genealogical and Historical Conference will be held Aug 28-30, 2008 at the Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches, Texas. And is dedicated to Antonio Gil Ibarvo. A bus tour to Natichitoches, La. is available on Fri., Aug 29. The conference will be on Fri. and Sat. Aug 29th and 30th. It will include speakers such as Dr. Caroline Casstillo Crim, Jose Antonio Lopez, Dan Arellano, Dr. Andres Tijerina, Rhonda Remedies Gauthier, Guillermo Garmendia, Ernesto Valdes, Joseph F. Ebarb, Paul Cool, Robert Brian Levy to teach the Caddo Language, Dr. Roland Vela, Ginger Trotter, Sharon Miller from the Alabama Coushatta Tribe and Joel Rene Escobar. There will be literature and other items available for purchase, including genealogy information in the Nacogdoches and East Texas area.
