The Nacogdoches County Chamber Fourth Friday Luncheon will feature David Teel, President and CEO of the Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA).  TTIA is the leading advocate for the state’s travel industry.  Mr. Teel’s address is titled "You Don’t Know What You’ve Got Till It’s Gone."

Teel will share his insight on how we can better appreciate the Texas travel and tourism industry as an important business development tool and community economic driver, and why we should all be interested in the legislation being considered during the 85th Texas Legislative Session.  It is important to protect this important contributor to our local and state economies.

Mr. Teel also serves as Executive Director for the Texas Commercial Airports Association.  Before joining TTIA, David served as State Tourism Director under the administrations of Governor George W. Bush and Governor Rick Perry.

Under Teel's leadership, TTIA works aggressively to strengthen the Texas travel industry and increase awareness of the industry as a major job creating force and economic driver that improves the quality of life for all Texans.
