Winners of the "All Things Nacogdoches" photo contest, hosted by the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau, was announced on Nov. 17 at the opening reception held at the Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.

More than 100 entries were received for the photo contest. Photos for the exhibition, including the winners, were selected by jurors from the SFA School of Art.

First place received $250 and was awarded to Elaine Bezold, category Culture; second place received $125 and was award to Alison Bealle, category Nacogdoches; and third place received $100 and was awarded to Richard Faviel, category Nature. Honorable mentions went to Tammy Spake, category Nacogdoches; Caleb Perkins, category Young Photographer; Courtney Wallace, category Nature; Judith Lauter, category Nature; Richard Faviel, categories Nacogdoches and Nature; and Roberta Smith, category Nacogdoches. People's Choice was voted on by participants attending the reception and was awarded to Zelma Lias, category Nacogdoches.

The “All Things Nacogdoches” photo contest was developed through a collaborative partnership between the Nacogdoches CVB and the Cole Art Center.

The photo exhibition will be up through Jan. 14 at the Cole Art Center located at 329 E. Main Street.
