Nacogdoches is gorgeous year-round, but it's especially stunning during the fall. The East Texas Pineywoods provide beautiful fall foliage - some we hope you'll plan to come see in person.
We have numerous gardens and trails that showcase fall color beautifully, as well as many scenic locations that are great for photographing.
Wondering when you should book your fall-foliage viewing stay? We suggest late October through December. Sometimes the hot Texas summers can cause fall temperatures to take their time arriving, but you can always give us a call at (888) 564-7351 or check our Facebook page for a better update.

Fall 2021 Update:
10/29/21 - We've received many calls from visitors asking about the Fall Foliage in Nacogdoches this year. We have not had a good "frost" yet so the trees have not begun changing colors.
We are expecting a later season, potentially starting around mid-November. Check our Facebook page often for updates!
11/12/21 - We are starting to see some color! These last couple cold fronts have sped up the change slightly. Our Chinese Pistache trees are some of the first to turn and are a good sign that we’ll see some luminous color soon! We are expecting peak foliage to happen around Thanksgiving. We will start updating more frequently from here on out!
11/17/21 - The Fall colors are starting to really show! It seems almost overnight the "pop" is happening. We're still not yet at peak color, but our guess is that Thanksgiving Weekend/ First weekend of December will be spectacular. Make your plans to visit now!
11/29/21 - We're currently experience peak color! The bright reds, yellows and oranges are beautiful right now. The colors should still be spectacular the weekend of 12/4.
