The Nacogdoches CVB is back with the ultimate outdoor movie experience: Nac at Night Christmas movie series. The movie is projected on the side of an airplane hangar at the A.L. Mangham Jr. Regional Airport. Cars are arranged and distanced in a way to provide the vest viewing for vehicles of all sizes. Spaces for lawn chairs are also available for up close viewing, just bring a blanket!
New Food Truck Rice Queen Street Food will be on site, and will be open throughout the movie for walk up purchases, the Civil Air Patrol and its volunteers will have hot chocolate, popcorn and candy for sale.
We will have both vehicle spots and outside lawn chair seating. One $20 ticket will pay for 4 people whether in a vehicle space or lawn seating. Lawn seats will be placed closest to the screen and identified by 12' chalked circles to maintain social distancing between parties. Bring your own chairs, coolers, and blankets to cuddle up. There will be a limited number of hatchback spots available per movie so grab them while you can.
*ONLY ONE TICKET PER CAR or LAWN SEATING NEEDED up to 4 people*
With help from the Civil Air Patrol and volunteers, cars will be positioned 6-feet apart to maintain social distancing, and attendees will be asked to remain at their on vehicles.
All proceeds go to the tourism efforts of the Nacogdoches Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Civil Air Patrol Cadets. The Nacogdoches CVB is a non-profit 501-(c)(6) that is funded by Hotel Occupancy Tax. Due to COVID-19's impact on the travel industry, the CVB has undergone significant budget cuts. Tourism is one of the largest drivers of the Nacogdoches economy.
