Enjoy the musical jams of El Camino Real de Nacogdoches while sampling Dutch Oven cornbread and plum jelly made from the museum’s own plums! SFA Hospitality Program students are bringing plenty of tasty treats in the SFA Food Truck and a special seasonal drink will be served from the museum’s bar.

The end of September marks the end of Hatch Green Chile season, and the beginning of the Nacogdoches Public Library’s Big Read. Get fired up to read Kevin Wilson’s Nothing to See Here with your own Hatch Green Chile recipe. Enter to win great prizes including 2 luncheon tickets to SFA Hospitality Program Culinary Cafe, 2 season passes to SFA Men's Basketball or SFA Women's Basketball, 2 season passes to SFA Fine Arts Mainstage, tickets to SFA Planetarium, and more!!

THREE WINNERS: Sweet, Savory & Best Overall!

The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest and is designed to broaden our understanding of the world, communities and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. The program’s goal is to inspire conversation and discovery among community members and revitalize the role of reading in American culture.

The event is free and will be held inside the museum and underneath a tent on the north lawn. For more information or to volunteer to help with the event, contact stonefort@sfasu.edu.
