Margil Park
Along the Lanana trail is the Eyes of Father Margil where it is said that during a drought in 1718, Father Antonio Margil de Jesus was led by a vision to a point near this site where the bed of Lanana Creek made a sharp bend. There he struck the overhanging rock shelf with his staff, and a stream of water gushed forth. The eyes of Father Margil is a Texas State Historical Marker, and the site of a one of the only Vatican-approved miracles in the United States.
