Longtime resident and SFA professor Bert Rees loved all things Christmas. Growing up in the Rees house meant decked out Holiday décor both inside and out. He loved it so much he and his family created the Bert Rees Lighting Contest to spread Christmas cheer throughout the town.
Last year Visit Nacogdoches and the Rees Family lit up Nacogdoches for the 12th year in a row. We hope you'll participate again for the 13th Annual Contest! The range of categories makes it possible for all to participate. Let us all celebrate the joy of the Christmas season and be like Bert! Help us light up Nacogdoches for us all to enjoy.
