The African American Heritage Project (AAHP) is holding an annual barbecue fundraiser on Saturday October 7, 2023, 12 - 2 pm. The AAHP will serve plates of barbecue, sides and desserts for a donation of $15.00. Proceeds will be used to continue the restoration work on the Historic Clay House. The barbecue will be held at the Clay House located at 720 Bois D’Arc St. Nacogdoches, TX, in the Zion Hill Historic District with the option to eat in or carry out. Tickets can be purchased from any AAHP board member, at the event or through Eventbrite. There will also be a silent auction showcasing regional artwork and local businesses.
